LOIS BURKE

Lois hails from Godrich Ontario originally where she married an army medic and got to travel the world through his various postings.  They ended up in Shilo in 1967 and never left. Together they raised a family of 3 girls and 2 boys. The girls are now in the Army as well and stationed from Canada to Belgium.   The boys work in and around the Brandon area.

Lois became a volunteer with Westman Jams after losing her husband when Joyce DeGroot and Barb Forbes asked her and she 'doesn't know how to say no'.  She is an invaluable contributor to our annual Christmas Concert helping to supply the enormous and wonderful snacks that are available as well as doing her part to canvas the local businesses for silent auction donations.  She also helps out with the silent auction setting up the tables and selling tickets.

She says the Jammers are like a second family and she loves to keep busy.

Thank you Lois for all that you and your fellow volunteers do for our club!
