MUSICIAN OF THE MONTH
WARD JACKSON
Ward claims he has been playing guitar and singing for 50++ years. Originally hailing from Orangeville, Ontario he grew up listening to good old country music and is self-taught.
He joined the military as a young man and he and his wife raised 4 children. Today they enjoy 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Ward has spent many hours singing with local bands in both Brandon and Carberry areas and while he lives right next door to the Sprucewoods Hall, he claims the jams were a year old before he found out about them.
We are certainly glad he did.
He comments that he really enjoys the Westman Jams as they get people out on a Sunday afternoon where they can make new friends, meet other people and relax.
