Vi hails from Souris nowadays where she married and raised her family of 5 children.

  She started playing as a young child when her parents gave her a guitar that she shared with her 6 siblings.  Some of them learned to play it and some of them didn't.  Her sister Jean, who also plays, was at the July Jam when Vi became Musician Of The Month.

Vi is originally from a small town in Saskatchewan that she claims no longer exists named Crichton (pronounced Crayton) in the Swift Current area.  She met her husband while working at a hospital and when they married she moved to the farm in Souris.  She now lives in the town of Souris where she plays with "The Twilighters" every week at a couple of  nursing homes in the area.

Her children are scattered from Japan to Winnipeg to Atikokan to Regina and Souris and she enjoys her 6 grandchildren.
