TONIA SCHOL

--written and submitted by Tonia herself!

How do you describe the people who helped you " feel the music"   It started when I was a very young girl in Amsterdam.

Visiting my grandparents on Sunday morning was always the same.   An old gramophone would be playing, rather loudly I might add.

Not Country, not Pop but the best classical singers.   My grandma once took me to a live performance of " Rose Marie" it was an operetta. The songs stayed with me.

There were lots of relatives on both sides. Although no one really played an instrument besides a mouth organ or accordion, they were all singers.

So many great voices.Doing dishes with my was never a chore at family gatherings as we tried to out sing each other.

So, there were many people who influenced me while growing up. Some of my favourites now are, Beth Middler, Barbara Streisand  and the late Patsy Cline.

I've only sang Country songs for about four years but I LIKE IT!!!   To be part of the Westman Jammers is just wonderful. I admire

everyone that does their thing and I am envious of so many of you.  The way you play, the way you sing.....I could not be happier to be part of such a wonderful group

I thank you all for letting me be part of your group and for all the help I've been given.

With a song in my heart, I thank you--Tonia
