MUSICIAN OF THE MONTH
RICK FORD
| Rick visits us about 4 times a year when
he comes to visit friends in Killarney and Minnedosa. Rick hails from Vancouver
where he recently retired from government service and turned his hand to music.
He started playing banjo about 3 yrs ago and then 2 years ago he decided
maybe he'd try singing. He now belongs not only to two different choirs out west but also
to the Pacific Bluegrass Heritage Society. Rick is single and is just beginning to get into different musical groups including Westman Jams when he visits. Rick is a board member of the Pacific Bluegrass Heritage Society and says that they not only have a website that you can visit(by clicking on the name) but also a monthly newsletter. We look forward to his next visit to Manitoba and some of his wonderful tunes. Say 'hi' to the Pacific coast Rick! See you soon! |
