MUSICIAN OF THE MONTH

| One of the newest members of Westman Jams,
John is admired by one and all for his smooth vocal stylings and his choices of fun loving
material to share. Originally born and raised in Hargrave Manitoba John began playing
guitar at about 14 yrs of age. He has is now learning bass guitar as well and
dabbles with fiddle and keyboard. John credits his Mom for his inspiration. He says that Mom played in an old-tyme orchestra in their small town which actually boasted 2 bands. John played in one of them with his Mom , sister, brother and brother-in-law for the better part of 10 years. John is happily married for 34 yrs to his wife Vivian with whom he has 3 children and 3 grandchildren and currently lives in Gillam, MB but is making plans to move back to our neck of the woods and settle in Minnedosa. Of our group John says; "Westman Jams is a great opportunity for anyone to get to know people who play music around Westman. Great circle of friends who share a common interest" Come on out to a jam in the near future and listen. You will be pleasantly surprised and will soon become part of an amazing group
