DIANA MCCALLUM

Diana is one of our Souris reps.   She was born in Deloraine and lived in Melita for her first 10 years so she is truly a WESTMAN Jammer.

Diana says she always had a musical ear but had no one to sing with nor play with for most of her life.  After moving to Souris she joined the church choir and there she found 3 other ladies with fabulous voices and created "Penny Candy" a local female quartet and has recently been asked to join "The Twilighters" group in Souris and play and sing at local events.

She also claims that she never sang into a microphone before joining Westman Jams one year ago!!  Very hard to believe!  Laughing all the while, she tells the story of listening to the Beatles way back when and using a floor polisher as a microphone to sing along!  HAHA

She is happily married with 3 children, all grown now, and a wonderful grandmother to 8 grandchildren..  She is also one of 10 siblings who all enjoy music but gospel music remains her favourite form of musical expression.

She plays accordion and a bit of piano but with her fabulous voice she has all the music she needs.  If you haven't heard this lady sing, you are in for a real treat!

Join us at the September 9,2007 Army, Navy and Air Force Jam in Brandon to hear her sing and to help her celebrate one year with Westman Jams!
