MUSICIAN OF THE MONTH
Devona Sherman
Devona was born south of Minnedosa and except for a short stint in Souris, has lived in Brandon most of her life. She is the middle child of 9! As a child, she and her sister were sent to music lessons and she has played ever since.
She currently plays piano, organ and keyboard and has played with many bands in the Brandon area.
At the moment she plays with family members Scott and Keith in a band known as "The Rhythm Aces". They play every Friday afternoon at the Central Community Club in Brandon. She also plays on Wednesday afternoons at Fairview Personal Care Home and has played with "Hands Across The Border" at the Peace Gardens on a number of occasions.
Devona's family consists of a son, a daughter and four grandchildren who love to listen to her play.
She has been a member of Westman Jams since 2005 and we truly enjoy her talents.
