Carl was born and raised in Glenboro, MB but spent his career years in Regina, SK where he worked as an orderly in the Regina General Hospital. Since retiring he has moved back to Glenboro where he continues to enjoy his old hometown and his music.

He started playing guitar and singing about 30 years ago because, he says, his friends could play and they inspired him to learn.  While he is self-taught his one regret is that he never learned to pick a tune.   He chords and sings to his favourite musicians, Merle Haggard and Waylon Jennings.  He also has a few Johnny Cash tunes in his repertoire.

He enjoys the Jams and says its a great place for aspiring players to hone their craft or to just enjoy their favourite hobby and to make some new friends.
