MUSICIAN OF THE MONTH
BRIAN MILLS
| Brian was born & raised in Carberry and then lived in various Manitoba locales as
an adult. He's been playing and singing and generally making music since he was about 10
yrs old, starting out with piano because his Mother was a qualified music teacher.
His Dad also played but his instrument of choice was the trombone. He has one sister Kathleen who mastered the piano,organ and accordion by the age of 10! Brian also has 3 brothers some of whom play a little bit He is a widower now having lost his wife of 16 years to ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) in 1989. He went to China after losing his wife and met a lovely Chinese lady there whom he brought back to Canada but unfortunately she wasn't able to acclimatize. He played for 3 or 4 years with a couple of his buddies in Carberry and then he found the Jams. He is now a permanent fixture when his motorcycle allows him to attend. We don't see as much of him during the winter months but we know he'll be back when he can Congratulations Brian on being chosen as our September Musician of the Month
